NEW THIS YEAR: Alpine Slide - A serpentine, U-shaped track for a ride called an Alpine Slide. Riders will take a wheeled sled up the lift, enter the track, and then careen down to the bottom as fast as they're daring enough to go. Speed is controlled with a handbrake on each sled, and the track has high walls on fast corners that let the sleds take advantage of the physics involved in high-speed gravity-fed downhill rolling. It's like the luge but without that pesky ice maintenance thing. 1 ride: $8, 3 rides: $20, Open Date June 13 Hours: 10am - 6pm

Alpine Zipline Tour -  Possibly the biggest change to come to Summer in Whitefish since the first lifts were built in 1947, the new 3-hour (approximately) 6 zipline tour will provide an unparalleled adrenaline rush, combined with an engaging interpretive tour through the forest.

There will be six separate spans connected by short walks, each with two parallel cables for dual riding action. The harnesses used are paragliding-style seat harnesses, so should be much more comfortable than rock climbing gear. Zippers can expect to reach speeds of 50 mph or more as they travel more than 100 feet above the ground on custom-made trolleys.

3-hour (approximately) tour: $75
Hours: 9 am - 6 pm

Two middle zip lines are about 100 - 300 feet off the ground at their highest point, and range in lengths with 1300 and 1800 feet being the longest zips. Standing at the top looking down, you cannot avoid thinking to yourself, "Holy crap."

Walk In The Treetops - An exciting way to experience adventure, fun, and learning in the Rocky Mountains. The adventure is about two and a half hours of guided fun that offers a unique view of the forest from an elevated boardwalk through the treetop canopy. This includes a shuttle ride out to the trailhead, a safety presentation, hiking out and back on an uneven 1/2 mile trail and a walk on an elevated 700' boardwalk at heights up to 70'. Guides give eco-system talks relative to our forests and point out the local flora and fauna. Souvenir hip pack and snacks provided on this Nature and Scenic focused activity. It's the only walk of it's kind in the United States! Reservations are very highly recommended as these popular summer tours sell out quickly!
